Petko Dinev – Founder, President, CEO
Dr. Dinev has more than 23 years of experience in the field of digital imaging. He has a M.Sc. degree in Applied Physics from Sofia University, Sofia, Bulgaria, and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida. He held both academic and industrial positions, including Assistant Professor in Physics and Optics at Technical University, Sofia, Bulgaria; Member of Technical Staff at Sarnoff Corp., Princeton, NJ; Senior Research Fellow at Concord Camera Corp., Hollywood, Florida. During his career he was responsible for new products development, and he successfully introduced to market numerous cameras – ranging from consumer digital cameras, advanced high-definition cameras, to special application military and space imaging systems. In 1998, his doctoral dissertation on “Ultrasound Brain Imaging” was awarded with the prestigious Merrill Lynch Forum Innovation Grants Competition. Dr. Dinev is a member of the advisory board for Imaging Technology Commercial Space Center at Florida Atlantic University, Boca Raton, Florida.
Greg Pangburn – Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Pangburn began working with the company in September 2002. He was brought on as CFO in January 2003. Before joining Imperx, Greg operated a successful consulting practice which he founded in 1998. Greg brings nearly 30 years of accounting, finance and management experience to Imperx through such diverse industries as: manufacturing, construction, insurance, professional sports and telecommunications. He has served as the principal financial officer in both public and private companies. Mr. Pangburn has held executive level positions with Marsh & McLennan Companies, Bechtel Power and Engineering, Fischbach and Moore, Northeast Utilities, Sarlon Industries, MobileOne Cellular and the Women’s Tennis Association.
Brian McGee – Director of Engineering
Brian McGee brings 20 years of experience in design, technical leadership, and engineering management. He leads engineering and development of Imperx standard products and imaging platforms – as well as custom OEM solutions. Prior to Imperx, he held key senior engineering and management roles at Ocean Insight, Halma plc (LSE:HLMA), a globally recognized leader in optical OEM solutions, instrumentation and software for industrial manufacturing and automation, defense and semiconductor equipment. Brian is an honorable US Navy veteran who holds B.S. Electrical Engineering and M.S. Engineering Management from University of Central Florida.
Dan Detwiler – North American Sales Manager
Dan Detwiler is an experienced sales and commercial leader in industrial imaging, automation, and machine vision. He currently serves as North American Sales Manager, managing sales activities and customer relationships across U.S. and Canada. He works with OEM customers, system integrators, and channel partners to support imaging solutions used in industrial automation, aerospace, defense, transportation and related applications. His responsibilities include key account management, supporting new customer programs, and coordinating with internal technical teams on customer requirements and product fit.
Prior to joining IMPERX, Dan spent several years at Rockwell Automation, a global market leader in industrial automation and an important IMPERX ecosystem partner for machine vision and imaging suppliers. At Rockwell Automation (NYSE:ROK), he held customer-facing commercial roles supporting automation solutions for industrial customers, gaining experience with large OEM environments, channel-driven sales models, and complex industrial applications. Dan holds a B.S. in Business Administration and brings a practical, application-oriented perspective shaped by experience across both large automation platforms and specialized imaging suppliers.
Jarred Scott – Director of Quality Management
Jarred Scott joined Imperx in February of 2026 as the Director of Quality Management. Jarred Scott has over 20 years experience in the aviation, space, and military industries focusing on the implementation and continual improvement of QMS procedures, while utilizing product design through lean manufacturing. Skilled at cross departmental processes, Jarred ensures the cohesion of product acceptance and regulatory bodies to confirm organizational compliance to applicable FAA and AS9100 & ISO standards.
Prior to joining the Imperx team, he served as the Director of Quality Assurance & FAA 145 Repair Station Chief Inspector at Aerospace Technologies Group. This company is the market leader in the development and distribution of electronically controlled aircraft cabin window shade systems for private and commercial aviation, and the largest Tier One supplier of window shade systems to OEMs worldwide.
